The 2022 Spring Gala was back on campus on May 7, 2022 with the theme “A Sky Full of Stars.” Through the generosity of sponsors, donors, car raffle purchasers, volunteers, staff and many others, the Gala netted over $348,600 that directly supported the young men of Georgetown Prep, plus an additional $305,709 raised for The Mary Elise Gribbin Scholarship Fund through the Raise the Paddle. Mary Elise Gribbin is a long-time faculty member of Prep’s Latin Department who decided to retire at the end of the 2022 school year. The Gala chairs were Carlos and Renee Molina ’82, P’15, ’23; Mike and Christy Prame P’21, ’21, ’23 and Mike and Margaret Yavinsky P’22, ’24. Their tireless efforts as well as their creativity and perseverance made this Gala truly a memorable event. Proceeds from this event directly support Georgetown Prep’s academic and athletic endeavors, campus ministry, arts programs, financial aid and continued improvements to our incomparable campus.
We are particularly grateful for everyone who supported The Mary Elise Gribbin Scholarship Fund for the Raise the Paddle portion of the 2022 Gala. This endowed scholarship fund was established in honor of our Latin Teacher, Mary Elise Gribbin’s retirement announcement at the end of the 2022 school year. The Prep community rose, once again, to honor Mary Elise through this endowed scholarship fund by raising over $305,700. For this, we are incredibly grateful.
