This report reflects gifts received from July 01, 2020 through June 30, 2021. If your name was overlooked or improperly listed, please send an email to giving@gprep.org.
I have been closely associated with Prep for over 50 years—as a student first, then as an alumnus, years later as a parent of three alumni, and now as a member of the administration. I’ve lived through a lot here, naturally not all of it perfect. But Prep has always been strong, never more so than now. Our faculty is fantastic, the guys are so talented in many ways, our parents and alumni parents are dedicated and engaged, and our alumni are loyal and full of accomplishment.
We frequently ask you to support Prep in a number of ways – in fact, we ask that you “invest in Prep.” And when we asked for your support, you did not just answer the call, you embraced Prep with a level of generosity that is truly remarkable. That fact is probably the only recognition you need, but I will not leave it there. Thank you from all of us—we will continue to work hard to keep your trust and honor your commitment to this special place. Georgetown Prep and its lived mission—to form men of competence, conscience, courage, and compassion; men of faith and men for others—are extraordinary because of you. I offer my sincere appreciation for all that you do for us.

The PREP Fund, formerly the Annual Fund, is our most important philanthropic effort, enabling us to meet the full cost of a Prep education beyond what tuition revenues produce. Unrestricted gifts bridge that gap.
Your support contributes to a more engaging and rigorous curriculum, robust academic and counseling support, stellar faculty recruitment and development, and a significant financial aid program.
Restricted gifts are designated by the donors for specific purposes to be used for the 2020-21 fiscal year. Restricted categories include Vision Campaign pledge payments, scholarships, memorial fund, and gifts that recognize a specific department of the school such as the library, the International Department or athletics.

The second virtual Spring Gala netted $380,856 that directly supported the young men of Georgetown Prep, plus an additional $117,605 raised for the Prep Strong campaign through the Raise the Paddle. The Gala chairs were Mrs. Susan Lacz P’09,’21 and Mr. Joseph and Kathleen Callahan P’21,’23,’25. Proceeds from this event directly support Georgetown Prep’s academic and athletic endeavors, campus ministry, arts programs, financial aid and continued improvements to our incomparable campus.
Thank you to the corporations and organizations that support The PREP Fund in the 2020-21 Fiscal Year.
In 2016, Georgetown Preparatory School began the silent phase of our Capital Campaign, which was then communicated in a public phase in November 2019. The campaign has focused on raising money for Prep’s Endowment, the building of a new Campus Center & Residence Hall, and enhanced athletic facilities including a new stadium at the historic Fegan-Galvin, S.J. field and soccer bowl and track facility on the north fields. As part of the For the Greater Glory campaign, specific fundraising efforts have supported the new facilities, including The Paro Family Plaza, the Lacrosse Wall, and The Steve Maczynski Fund.
Georgetown Preparatory School established the Haas Society to recognize the generosity of all participants in the school’s planned giving programs. The Haas Society honors the late Frederick Haas, Class of 1921 as an example of stewardship, generosity, vision, and faith in our future and our mission. Participation in any of Georgetown Prep’s planned giving programs – bequests, life-income arrangements, and other deferred gifts – automatically qualifies you for membership in The Haas Society.
If you have already included Georgetown Prep in a bequest or other planned gift, please let us know. Your willingness to be listed as a member of The Haas Society encourages others to follow your example. We acknowledge and respect those who wish to remain anonymous, however, we urge you to let us know of your plans on a confidential basis.
